Surge & Feed Hoppers
Use
KE feed and surge hoppers provide clients the ability to control the flow of products and commodities through their material handling systems while maximising the load rate required.
KE designs and manufactures portable hoppers to suit our renowned BunkerStacker and BunkerSweeper range of material handling equipment.
The hoppers can also be adapted to fixed operations over permanent conveyors if required.
Options
Hoppers can be portable and freestanding to feed various conveyor or stacker configurations.
Alternatively surge hoppers can be designed to be permanent or move along a fixed conveyor depending on the clients’ needs.
Surge hoppers can be fitted with manual, electric or haydraulically controlled slide gate valves.
Where requested, ceramic or steel wearplates and/ or lining can be fitted to the hopper.

SIZES/SPECIFICATIONS
Standard Hopper capacities range from 5 to 12 Tonnes (based on wheat density of 800 kg/m3) However any size can be MADE TO ORDER to customers’ specifications
